What will your prekindergartner’s day look like?

This gives you an idea of how our caring teachers set a daily rhythm for prekindergartners, including: 

  • Group time

  • Storytime 

  • Play

  • Meals and snacks 

  • Naps

  • And lots of unstructured playtime!

  • Practicing early math with simple addition and subtraction

  • Moving for at least two hours a day to develop essential physical skills

  • Using words to solve conflicts, with teacher guidance when needed

  • Practicing kindness and respect in daily interactions with their class buddies

  • Creating stories with a beginning, middle, and end

  • Practicing writing skills, from scribbles to writing their full name

  • Using different art materials to create and express unique ideas

We set up our classrooms for their age and stage of learning and development. 

  • Writing their names on their artwork helps little ones practice the ABCs. 

  • Using letters and drawings expresses experiences and feelings. 

  • Developing empathy helps children to understand others’ emotions. 

  • Talking about families teaches similarities and differences.
